We can assist you in the following ways:
Provide information on what/who is available to assist you in your daily activities and where and how to access. Click here for more.
Provide information and demonstration of Assistive Listening Devices that may help you each day, such as telephones, TV, alarm clocks, personal listening devices. Click here for more.
We can arrange for you to trial these devices in your own home for a short time before you decide what works best in your situation.
In some cases (if you fit our criteria) we can assist financially to help you to own your own hearing device.
Sale of hearing aid batteries at competitive prices - all sizes catered for.
Sale of other miscellaneous items that may assist you such as badges.
We're involved in other projects that include:
Working with the National Hearing Association to improve services and facilities for the hearing impaired, and to raise the profile of the association which is the premier organisation representing people with this disability.
Producing and distributing items such as the yellow Customer hearing Stands that encourage both customers and staff to assist one-another in communicating effectively. Also Wallet Cards that the hearing impaired can carry with them in order to alert others of their difficulty in communicating
and how people can best help (you may pick either of these up free of charge at our rooms).
The organisation and implementation of workshops relating to issues affecting the hearing impaired, such as Tinnitus, Communications Skills (etc).
Promotion of valuable services such as Captioned Movies and TV Subtitles.
